Production Engineer – Dräger India Initial location: Vasai | Future location: PuneAre you ready to make a difference in saving lives through technology that matters? This role offers the opportunity to work on innovativemedical devices, ensuring world-class manufacturing standards and continuous process improvement.Key Responsibilities Executeproduction activities in SAP– creating and managing production orders, planning, execution, and coordinating with material planning and incoming inspection teams. Reviewcustomer inputs / TDSfor product configurations and ensure compliance through in-process and final QA inspections. Providetechnical support to design teamson DFM and SAP processes during design transfer. Manage and maintainvalidation/calibrationof jigs, fixtures, and equipment. Coordinatetechnical changesduring Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Actively participate inPFMEAactivities and drive risk mitigation initiatives. Identify and leadprocess improvement projectsusing 7QC tools, Lean, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Represent production inNCR/CAPA investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. Ensure compliance withISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other safety/environmental policies. Supportprocess optimization, validation, and production resource planning. Participate ininternal and external audits(ISO 13485, ISO 9001) as auditee/auditor. Monitor and reportproduction KPIsto management.Must-Have Skills Background inProduction / Manufacturing(preferably in Medical Devices). Experience withmass productionand SAP-based production processes. Strong knowledge ofISO 9001andISO 13485standards. Proficiency instatistical analysis(validation, production output, cycle time). Excellent communication skills in English. Active experience inPFMEA, process optimization, and validation. Good-to-Have Skills Experience inValue Stream Mapping (VSM), Lean manufacturing, or Kaizen. Familiarity withEMI/EMC,CE,Biocompatibility, andESDrequirements. Exposure toProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM)systems.Education Diploma or B.E. inMechanical / Production EngineeringIndustry Experience 8 - 9 years Prior experience in theMedical Device industryis essential.If you’re passionate about driving quality, efficiency, and innovation in medical device manufacturing, we’d love to hear from youWhy Join Us?
