We are looking for a skilled Drilling Engineer with experience in CBM Exploration and Development to join our dynamic team

Job Overview: The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the drilling operations for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) projects. This role involves ensuring that drilling activities are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget while meeting regulatory and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CBM exploration and development, and a strong understanding of the unique challenges associated with drilling in coal seams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and plan exploration (core hole) & development drilling programs for CBM wells, including well trajectory, casing design, mud systems, and completion techniques.
• Evaluate and select appropriate drilling equipment, tools, and materials for CBM operations.
• Create Scope of Work for drilling equipment and services and participate in tendering process with supply chain team
• Oversee the execution of drilling operations, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other technical teams to optimize well placement and maximize gas recovery.
• Monitor and analyze drilling performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare detailed drilling reports, including well plans, daily drilling summaries, and post-well evaluations.
• Manage contracts with drilling contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with terms and quality standards.
• Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to secure necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and drilling personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering, with a focus on Coal Bed Methane (CBM) exploration and development.
• Proven track record in designing and executing CBM drilling programs.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and technologies specific to CBM.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characteristics and gas extraction methods in coal seams.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in drilling engineering software and tools
