We’re Hiring: GIS AnalystLocation: Visakhapatnam, India Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 1-2 yearsAbout the RoleAs a GIS Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting decision-making across the organization by performing spatial analysis, maintaining geospatial datasets, producing clear and impactful maps, and developing GIS tools and dashboards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, high-quality geospatial information.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complex spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data modeling using GIS tools.Create high-quality maps, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.Administer, manage, and maintain geodatabases, including versioning, schema updates, data integrity checks, backups, and performance optimization.Maintain and update geospatial datasets, geodatabases, layers, and metadata.Support and troubleshoot GIS applications, portals, and web maps.Work with spatial databases such as Oracle Spatial or PostGIS.Utilize tools like ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and QGIS for analysis and map production.Develop automated workflows using ModelBuilder or Python/ArcPy (preferred).Collaborate with planners, Engineers, IT team, and project managers to deliver geospatial solutions.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.2+ years of experience as a GIS Analyst.Strong proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online/Portal) and QGIS.Experience performing spatial analysis, data editing, and cartography.Solid experience in geodatabase administration (enterprise/file geodatabases), including versioning, reconciliation/posting, topology rules, and schema design.Knowledge of geospatial data formats (shapefiles, geodatabases, raster data, CAD files).Ability to work with geospatial databases and perform spatial SQL queries.Experience creating dashboards, story maps, or web maps.Preferred SkillsExperience using Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online/Portal).Experience managing ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal/Server) environments.Familiarity with remote sensing and raster analysis.Professional certification such as GISP or Esri Technical Certification.Apply directly through LinkedIn or send your resume to aee_it_apepdcl@gmail.com.
