The Level 2 IT Patch Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining the security and reliability of customer's IT infrastructure through efficient patch management. This position involves day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and execution of patch operations. The specialist will work within the Infrastructure team, leading and documenting architecture designs, participating in DR trials, audits, and compliance reviews, and ensuring accurate updates to the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).


Key Responsibilities:

. Perform day-to-day patch management set-up, monitoring operations, and administration.

. Troubleshoot patching-related issues and implement effective solutions.

. Execute patch operations as per the defined schedule to maintain system security.

. Lead, document, and evaluate all relevant architecture designs within the CoE team.

. Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) trials, audits, and compliance reviews.

. Update and maintain accurate information in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

. Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Report out to the same in dashboards, like:

· Achieve "Zero Day" or "Out of Band" Emergency Notices for critical vulnerabilities.

· Meet critical patch deployment timeframes and non-critical patch deployment timeframes.

· Ensure thorough testing and validation of patches before deployment.

· Maintain effective communication and reporting on patch management activities.

· Achieve a high vulnerability remediation rate.

· Generate and present comprehensive patch management reports.


Skills and Requirements:

· Relevant certifications in IT patch management (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Specialist) preferred

· Proficient in day-to-day patch management operations and troubleshooting.

· Strong knowledge of patch deployment processes and scheduling.

· Experience with leading and documenting architecture designs.

· Familiarity with DR trials, audits, and compliance reviews.

· Knowledge of ITIL processes

· Ability to work collaboratively within a team, particularly within the Center of Excellence (CoE).

· Thorough understanding of CMDB practices.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
