About the Role:.

- We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our team at SMC Global.

- As the CISO, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected.

- You will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard our organization against cybersecurity threats and risks.

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing strong leadership in cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and incident response.

Responsibilities:

- Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

- Security Policies and Procedures: Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to protect information assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, and develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to information security and privacy, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.

- Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans and lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, including containment, investigation, and recovery.

- Security Awareness: Promote a culture of security awareness and education throughout the organization, ensuring employees understand their roles and responsibilities in protecting information assets.

- Security Architecture: Oversee the design and implementation of security architecture and solutions to protect networks, systems, and applications from cyber threats.

- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the security of outsourced systems and services.

- Security Monitoring and Detection: Implement and manage security monitoring and detection tools and processes to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time.

- Security Governance: Establish and chair a security governance committee to provide oversight and guidance on cybersecurity initiatives and investments.

- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership and the board of directors on the state of cybersecurity, key metrics, incidents, and compliance status.

Requirements:.

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

- A relevant industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is highly desirable.

Experience:


- Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role such as Chief Information Security Officer or Director of Information Security.

- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of cybersecurity professionals.

- Cybersecurity Expertise: Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and frameworks, including threat intelligence, penetration testing, encryption, and identity and access management.

- Risk Management: Proven experience in risk management, including risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk monitoring.

- Regulatory Compliance: Thorough knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to information security and privacy.

- Incident Response: Demonstrated experience in incident response planning and execution, including coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically about cybersecurity issues.

- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners and stakeholders.

- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on emerging threats, trends, and technologies in the cybersecurity field.
