We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager to join our Compliance team. As the Assistant Manager - Compliance, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company adheres to all regulatory requirements and maintains a high standard of compliance across various domains. Your primary responsibilities will encompass registrations, licensing, municipal and labor compliance, shop establishments, payroll management, labor machinery, legal notices, stakeholder management, and drug licenses.
Key Responsibilities:
Registrations and Licensing:
- Manage and oversee the process of obtaining and renewing necessary business licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Ensure all licenses and registrations are up to date and compliant with regulatory standards.
Municipal and Labor Compliance:
- Monitor compliance with municipal regulations and ensure adherence to labor laws.
- Coordinate inspections and audits related to municipal and labor compliance.
Warehouse/Darkstore/Stores Establishments:
- Handle the establishment and maintenance of necessary licenses and related compliances.
- Facilitate the closure or relocation of establishments when required.
Payroll Management:
- Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related compliance matters for the blue collar workers.
Labor Machinery Compliance:
- Manage compliance related to machinery used in manufacturing or production processes.
- Ensure all machinery meets safety and regulatory standards.
Legal Notices and Compliance Documentation:
- Respond to legal notices and manage communication with regulatory authorities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to compliance activities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on compliance requirements.
- Communicate compliance updates and changes effectively across the organization.
Drug Licenses:
- Ensure timely renewal and compliance of drug licenses if applicable.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting drug licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of 4-6 years in compliance roles, preferably in a regulated industry like retail, food and beverage industry.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to registrations, licensing, labor laws, and other compliance areas mentioned.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
