About Us

We are a young pet nutraceuticals & health supplements company starting our own in-house manufacturing of dog & cat syrups/tonics (calcium syrup, multivitamin syrup, liver tonic, immunity boosters, etc.). We are looking for a hands-on all-rounder chemist with experience in veterinary or animal health formulations who can help us set up the process from scratch, supervise production, and ensure quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Formulation Development


• Design and optimize formulations for dogs & cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.


• Select suitable excipients, preservatives, flavors, and stabilizers that are safe for animals.

Production Supervision


• Lead small-scale batch preparation (mixing, filtration, filling, capping, labeling) for pet health supplements.


• Train and guide the founder in step-by-step production.


• Maintain hygiene and cleaning SOPs for pet product manufacturing.

Quality Control (QC)


• Conduct basic QC tests (pH, clarity, taste/palatability, viscosity, appearance) specific to dogs & cats supplements.


• Approve/reject incoming raw materials (vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts for pets).


• Maintain stability samples and quality records.

Compliance & Documentation


• Prepare and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).


• Ensure compliance with FSSAI/nutraceutical and veterinary supplement guidelines.


• Act as the "Technical Person" for licensing and inspections.

Qualifications


• Education:


• B.Pharm / M.Pharm (preferred) OR


• M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Food Technology / Veterinary Science / Nutraceuticals


• Experience:


• 2–5 years in pet health supplements / veterinary nutraceuticals / animal syrups or tonic manufacturing.


• Must have hands-on experience in both formulation and QC for dogs & cats products.

Desired Skills


• Strong knowledge of veterinary nutraceutical ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbal extracts safe for dogs & cats).


• Practical experience with syrup/tonic production process (mixing → filtration → filling) for animal products.


• Ability to work independently and teach/mentor.


• Familiarity with QC lab equipment (pH meter, weighing balance, viscometer).


• Good documentation habits (batch sheets, QC records).
