Introduction:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain systems that can withstand high traffic and provide an exceptional user experience. Responsibilities:
- Reliability & Availability: Monitor and improve the availability, latency, and performance of critical applications and services.
- Infrastructure Automation: Develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions to ensure reliable and efficient infrastructure management.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Monitoring & Alerts: Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to detect and mitigate performance issues proactively.
- Performance Optimization: Identify system bottlenecks, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement performance improvements.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with developers, operations, and other teams to ensure the infrastructure supports product features and user requirements.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze traffic trends, predict future demand, and proactively scale systems to meet business growth.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices across our infrastructure and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Documentation: Create clear, comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incident reports to improve team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Shell.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of networking, databases, and storage systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering in high-traffic, large-scale environments.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
