Role Overview:

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced College Counselor to guide high school students through the undergraduate application process. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global higher education systems, admissions trends, and the unique challenges faced by students aiming for top-tier universities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Counseling: Work one-on-one with high school students to understand their goals, strengths, and aspirations, and provide personalized guidance.
• Application Strategy: Develop tailored application strategies, including university selection, major choice, and crafting a compelling narrative.
• Essay Guidance: Assist students in brainstorming, editing, and refining personal statements, supplemental essays, and other application materials.
• Admissions Expertise: Stay updated on admission trends, requirements, and deadlines for universities in the US, UK, and other popular destinations.
• Profile Building: Advise students on extracurricular activities, internships, summer programs, and other initiatives to strengthen their applications.
• Parent Communication: Regularly update parents on their child’s progress, milestones, and next steps in the application process.
• Workshops & Webinars: Conduct sessions on topics such as essay writing, interview preparation, and college selection.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 5+ years in college counseling, education, or related fields.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of undergraduate admissions processes, particularly in the US (experience with UK, Canada, and other countries is a plus).
• Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with high school students and their families.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple students and deadlines simultaneously.
• Mindset:
• Empathy and patience to understand and support students' needs.
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach.
• Passion for education and helping students achieve their potential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IB, IGCSE, and CBSE curricula.
• Prior experience with top-tier college admissions (either personally or professionally).
• Certification in college counseling or related fields is a bonus.
