The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Scala, Spark, and SQL, with proven experience delivering scalable and high-performance data solutions in cloud-native environments.Key Responsibilities : - Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark and Scala.- Develop real-time streaming pipelines leveraging Kafka/Event Hubs.- Own the design and architecture of data systems with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products.- Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and data engineering standards.- Implement and maintain data governance and lineage practices.Mandatory Skills : - Strong programming expertise in Scala (preferred over Java).- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Apache Spark.- Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms.- Hands-on experience in data engineering for large-scale systems.- Exposure to cloud-native environments (Azure preferred).Preferred Skills : - Big Data Ecosystem : Hadoop, Kafka, Structured Streaming/Event Hub.- CI/CD tools : Git, Docker, Jenkins.- Experience with Medallion Architecture, Parquet, Apache Iceberg.- Orchestration tools : Airflow, Oozie.- Familiarity with NoSQL DBs (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.- Experience with Data Governance tools : Alation, Collibra, Lineage, Metadata management.Mandatory Key skills :- Strong programming expertise in Scala (preferred over Java).- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Apache Spark.- Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms.- Hands-on experience in data engineering for large-scale systems.- Exposure to cloud-native environments (Azure preferred).Industry Type : IT ServicesFunctional AreaData Engineering / Big Data / Cloud Data PlatformsQualification : We are looking for a highly skilled Scala Data Enginee WITH 8+ exp to design, build, and optimize large-scale data platforms.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Scala, Spark, and SQL, with proven experience delivering scalable and high-performance data solutions in cloud-native environments (ref:hirist.tech)
