Product & Portfolio Head - BBG

Hiring for a Leading Bank

Role - Product & Portfolio Head (BBG)

Location - Kolkata

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement the product strategy for the SME - Business Banking Vertical in line with the overall business objectives of the bank.

2. Manage the product portfolio, including new product development, enhancements, and retirement, to ensure it remains competitive and meets customer needs.

3. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.

4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, risk, and technology teams, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing management.

5. Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

6. Work closely with the risk management team to assess and mitigate product-related risks.

7. Monitor the performance of the product portfolio against key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as required.

8. Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts to drive excellence in product management practices.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Minimum 10 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on product management.

- Strong background in product design, development, and implementation, preferably in the SME - Business Banking segment.

- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing a diverse product portfolio.

- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and market dynamics in the banking industry.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) preferred.
