About The Job :

Role : L2/L3 Python Automation Engineer.

Location : Bangalore, KA / Chennai, TN.

Essential Job Functions :

- Experience in developing automation scripts using Python.

- Deep understanding and experience working with L2 / L3 networking protocols.

- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches.

- Experience in any Automation framework (pyATS).

- Basic knowledge of Linux commands.

- Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline and automate network operations tasks.


- Work closely with network engineering teams to understand requirements and design automation solutions.


- Implement automation for configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices.


- Utilize Python libraries and frameworks to interact with networking devices and protocols at L2/L3 layers.


- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches as per organizational requirements.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing network infrastructure.


- Conduct testing and validation of automation scripts to ensure reliability and scalability.


- Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for automation solutions in production environments.


- Document automation scripts, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.


- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in network automation technologies.


Skills Required :


- 8-12 years of experience as a Python Automation Engineer or similar role.


- Proficiency in developing automation scripts using Python programming language.


- Deep understanding and experience with L2/L3 networking protocols.


- Hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches. Experience with any Automation framework, preferably pyATS.


- Basic knowledge of Linux commands for scripting and automation tasks.


- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.


- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are advantageous.
