Job Requirements :

  • Should have extensive experience of electrical System of Integrated Steel Plant Project, Operation and Maintenance
  • Must have been involved in Finalization of electrical Technology of Integrated steel plant selection, preparation of Project Budget, preparation of Project DPR, Statutory compliances, vendor selection, feasibility analysis etc.
  • Should have Experience with transmission line design software and tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, SAP2000).
  • Knowledge of transmission line telecommunication and fibre optic systems
  • Experience with transmission line SCADA and automation systems
  • Understanding of transmission line cyber security requirements.
  • Understanding of transmission line foundation design and soil mechanics
  • Understanding of transmission line earthing and bonding requirements
  • Familiarity with transmission line electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEEE, ASCE) and electrical safety regulations.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
  • Experience of dealing with large cross-functional/departmental projects
  • Experience of handling Power High Tension Power 400KV/220KV/33KV/6.6 KV
  • Distribution & Transmission system of integrated steel plant of > 3.0 MTPA capacity or involved in the setting up to > 3.0 MTPA steel plant.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with dept. head to prepare detailed project plans.
  • Develop a budget and operating plan for the projects.
  • Develop and implement transmission line project plans and schedules.
  • Manage transmission line design, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee transmission line testing and commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve transmission line faults and issues during project execution.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for transmission line construction and installation.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure transmission line quality and integrity.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with transmission line works.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans for transmission line activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians working on the project.
  • Ensure execution of projects within budgeted time and cost.
  • Ensure all strategic and tactical goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
  • Identify risks and put in place risk mitigation plan.
  • Proactively identify and highlight risks of delays to the Head Central Electrical.
  • Interface with external consultants/ vendors/ external agencies etc. to ensure seamless communication and timely execution of engagements.
  • Any other work assigned to you from time to time.
