Position : AWS Data EngineerLocation : Chennai, Hyderabad, BangaloreEmployment Type : Contract / Full-TimeExperience : 5+ yearsWork Model : Hybrid (3 days per week in office)Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions on AWS cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building and maintaining scalable data architectures, implementing ETL pipelines, and leveraging AWS serverless services to enable efficient data analytics and reporting.Key Responsibilities : - Design, implement, and maintain data architectures using AWS data services.- Develop, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines using Glue, Lambda, DMS, and Python/PySpark.- Create and optimize data models for performance and efficiency.- Write complex SQL queries to support data analysis, reporting, and business insights.- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.- Manage and optimize data warehouses (Redshift, RDS) for scalability and performance.- Utilize Athena, CloudFormation, and other AWS serverless resources for automation and data management.- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices across all platforms.Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.- Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.- Hands-on expertise with AWS services : Glue, Lambda, Athena, DMS, RDS, Redshift, CloudFormation, and serverless architectures.- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience in query optimization.- Proven ability to design scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows.- Experience in performance tuning of data models and warehouses.- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.Good to Have :- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data security.- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployment.- Familiarity with modern BI tools for reporting and visualization.
