Recrud is proud to partner with a dynamic SaaS startup to scout for a skilled Data Engineer, adept in crafting robust data pipelines.


This role is integral to the client's team, demanding a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in the field.


Position Overview :


The Data Engineer will be a crucial part of the startup's technical backbone, focusing on the creation, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines that are essential for the operation and growth of the business.


The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making processes by ensuring the seamless flow and accessibility of data across the organization.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
  • Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
  • Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
  • Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals.
  • Implement secure and compliant data handling procedures.

Required Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, preferably within a SaaS environment.
  • Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Scala, etc.) and SQL.
  • Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.) and data pipeline and workflow management tools (Airflow, Luigi, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
