Our prestigious client based in Jaipur is looking for a senior academician (Dean & Professor) As the senior academician of Computer Science, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic direction, research endeavors, and strategic initiatives within the Computer Science department of our institution. You will be responsible for providing leadership, fostering innovation, and ensuring the academic excellence of our programs. This position requires a strong background in computer science, effective management skills, and a passion for advancing education and research in the field.**Roles and Responsibilities:**1. **Strategic Leadership:**- Develop and articulate a strategic vision for the Computer Science department in alignment with the overall goals of the institution.- Lead the department in identifying emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities within the field of computer science.- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to establish goals and objectives that support the advancement of the department.2. **Academic Program Management:**- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and industry best practices.- Work closely with faculty to enhance curriculum design, update course offerings, and integrate new technologies and methodologies into teaching practices.- Monitor student outcomes and retention rates, implementing strategies to support student success and engagement.3. **Research and Innovation:**- Foster a culture of research excellence by providing support and resources for faculty and students to pursue innovative research projects.- Promote interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships both within the department and across other academic units.- Identify opportunities for grant funding, industry partnerships, and collaborative research initiatives to advance the reputation and impact of the department‘s research efforts.4. **Faculty and Staff Management:**- Recruit, retain, and mentor a diverse and talented faculty and staff team, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.- Provide leadership and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of faculty and staff members.- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure high standards of teaching, research, and service.**Qualifications:**- A doctoral degree in computer science.- Significant academic and administrative experience in higher education, preferably in a leadership role within a computer science department or related academic unit.- Strong knowledge of current trends, technologies, and research areas in computer science.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence.B.Tech, MTech and PhD in Computer Science from a reputed university is mandatory.
