Job title – Senior Associate / Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax

Excelberg Consultants LLP, a registered partnership firm, is an independent group of Chartered Accountants, Tax Consultants and Business Advisors engaged in offering financial reporting related services, tax consulting and advisory services and other business support services. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of workings for GST compliance monthly / quarterly / annually within timelines as per statute (data preparation and sanitization, filing of returns, etc.)
  • Responding to GST notices / queries / assessments from departments
  • Provide GST services to a range of clients working closely with multidisciplinary tax teams.
  • Perform GST reviews and health-check of GST compliances and assessments
  • Coordination with the department for obtaining approvals, registrations, submission of documents, addressing audit assessment related queries etc.
  • Helping with audits or investigation by the tax authorities
  • Visiting client place for understanding of compliance workings and other document verification, if required.
  • Preparation, filing and processing of refunds
  • Performing / participating in the research on various critical aspects of GST Laws.
  • Identify new ways of helping to reduce GST incidence and capturing permanent cash flow benefits within the ambit of law
  • Conducting technical study circles
  • Client responsibilities:
  • Providing advisory services to clients related to their business under GST Laws


Qualifications

  • Qualified CA or CMA / Post Graduates/ LLBs with 2-3 years Experience in Indirect Taxation
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills,
  • Good interpersonal skills and good acumen of client business are essential.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment with ability and desire to help shape a new role and flexibly shift and assume responsibilities over time as the role and practice evolve; and
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.).
