Job Title: Head- Operations
Location: Gurgaon
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and managing Electrifi's multi-city EV refurbishment, service and maintenance infrastructure
- Assets covered - 2 / 3 / 4W, batteries
- Currently operating in 2 cities, expanding to 10 cities in N12M
- Network will include Inhouse facilities (3 currently) and outsourced partners
- Responsible for delivering all metrics on Quality, Cost, Throughput and People
- Operating Electrifi's OEM service centers across 2W, 3W, batteries etc.
- Currently with 3 OEMs, aim to expand aggressively across all cities
- Metrics to be jointly developed with OEMs
- Role will include relationship management with the OEMs
- Spare part procurement and management for the above.
- Assisting other teams on other key operations:
- Recovery
- Fleet management
- Fleet relationships
- Expanding to new asset classes e.g. chargers
- Leverage tech and data to achieve target outcomes
- Build operations vertical as a P&L, not just a cost center
- Team building including hiring, development, retention and overall employee Deep operations knowledge at scale including managing a blue-collar team
- Multi-city operations experience
- Start-up experience ideally in 0 to 1 scale
- Deep interest in auto and EV, technical knowledge is not a requirement however a desire to understand and learn is critical
- Leading B school with 6-8 years of experience
1. Infrastructure Development & Management:
- Build and manage Electrifi's multi-city EV refurbishment, service, and maintenance infrastructure.
- Cover assets including 2-wheelers (2W), 3-wheelers (3W), 4-wheelers (4W), and batteries.
- Scale operations from 2 cities currently to 10 cities within 12 months.
2. Facility & Partner Network:
- Oversee in-house service facilities (currently 3) and manage partnerships with outsourced service providers.
- Ensure operational metrics on quality, cost, throughput, and team performance.
3. OEM Service Centers:
- Manage Electrifi's OEM service centers across asset classes (2W, 3W, batteries).
- Expand the network, currently working with 3 OEMs, with an aggressive growth plan across multiple cities.
- Co-develop and manage service metrics in collaboration with OEMs.
- Maintain and grow relationships with OEMs.
4. Spare Parts & Supply Chain:
- Oversee spare part procurement and inventory management for all service assets.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Support other operational teams in areas like recovery, fleet management, and fleet relationships.
- Facilitate expansion into new asset classes such as EV chargers.
6. Technology & Data Integration:
- Leverage technology and data to optimize performance and achieve operational targets.
7. P&L Ownership:
- Develop the operations vertical as a profit-and-loss center, not just a cost center.
8. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead efforts in hiring, developing, and retaining blue-collar teams.
- Enhance employee experience and foster strong organizational Proven experience in operations management at scale, particularly in multi-city operations.
- Experience managing blue-collar teams.
- Start-up experience, ideally with a focus on scaling from 0 to 1.
- Passion for the auto and EV industry, with a strong desire to learn (technical knowledge is a plus but not mandatory).
- Degree from a leading business school with 6-8 years of experience.
