QA Manual Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with expertise in payment gateways, payout systems, and financial transaction processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of WowPe's payment ecosystem by designing comprehensive test strategies, executing test cases, and identifying defects.

Key Responsibilities 1. Test Planning & Strategy

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for payment processing, refunds, chargebacks, settlements, and fraud detection. Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as PCI-DSS, PSD2, GDPR, and AML/KYC. Design test scenarios covering edge cases, risk-based testing, and security validation.

2. Functional & Integration Testing

Validate API integrations with banks, PSPs (Payment Service Providers), and third-party vendors. Test transaction flows including success, failure, retries, and timeouts. Perform end-to-end testing of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.

3. Security & Compliance Testing

Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and encryption checks (TLS, AES, RSA). Ensure adherence to PCI compliance, EMV standards, 3D Secure (3DS2), and SCA (Strong Customer Authentication). Work with security teams to mitigate risks and enhance fraud detection mechanisms.

4. Performance & Load Testing

Execute stress, load, and scalability testing to evaluate system behavior under high transaction volumes (TPS - Transactions Per Second). Identify bottlenecks in authorization, settlement, and reconciliation processes.

5. Automation & Tools

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Postman, Selenium, JMeter, Karate, or similar tools. Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated regression testing. Continuously enhance test automation frameworks for efficiency and scalability.

6. Defect Management

Log, track, and prioritize bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and compliance teams for issue resolution.

7. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and audit logs. Provide QA metrics and test summary reports to stakeholders. Document best practices and lessons learned to improve testing efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5-6 years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in payment gateways, fintech, or banking systems. Strong knowledge of payment processing, financial transactions, and settlement workflows. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and encryption protocols (TLS, AES, RSA). Familiarity with financial regulations (PCI-DSS, PSD2, GDPR, AML/KYC). Proficiency in SQL for database validation (transaction logs, ledger entries). Hands-on experience with automation tools (Postman, JMeter, Selenium, Karate, etc.). Knowledge of blockchain-based payouts (optional but a plus). Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
