Job Title: Data Privacy ConsultantLocation: Mumbai, IndiaExperience Required: Minimum 2 yearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the Role:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Privacy Consultant with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting privacy initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR, PDPB, etc.), and helping clients implement robust privacy frameworks.Key Responsibilities:- Advise internal teams and/or clients on data privacy regulations including GDPR, India's PDPB/DPDP Act, CCPA, etc. - Assist in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and risk assessments. - Support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy policies, procedures, and controls. - Monitor compliance with data protection laws and internal privacy policies. - Assist in incident response planning and breach management support. - Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to support privacy-by-design and data governance initiatives. - Conduct training and awareness programs for staff or clients on data privacy best practices.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data privacy, information security, or compliance. - Understanding of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPB, CCPA). - Experience in working with privacy tools and frameworks is a plus. - Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.Preferred Certifications (Optional):- CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT (by IAPP) - ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor - DCPP (by DSCI)
