Job Summary:

This role involves working as a Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer with 5-12 years of experience in coding with Java and JavaScript (Node.js). The ideal candidate should have expertise in Test Automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Webdriver, and Cypress.

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and executing automation suites using Cypress and other test automation frameworks
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Development and Analyst/Developer/QA teams, to understand end-to-end flows and data requirements for testing
  • Identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs to add to the automation suite
  • Performing thorough regression testing post-deployment
  • Familiarity with project life cycles, including design, development, implementation, and execution

Requirements:

  • 4-10 years of coding experience with Java and JavaScript (Node.js), with a focus on Cypress
  • Solid understanding of Test Automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Webdriver, and API Restful Web services
  • Knowledge of version control systems (git) and issue trackers (Jira)
  • Integration of automated test runs with CI/CD
  • Ability to write SQL queries and create tools/utilities and mock services
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and TDD/BDD environments

Desired Skills:

  • Strong programming languages skills, debugging, and test automation strategies
  • Proven track record of creating and executing effective Quality engineering and Quality assurance processes
  • High attention to detail, ability to propose trade-offs and risk assessment to stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn new things on a regular basis
