Draftsman – Sheetmetal

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Draftsman with expertise in Sheetmetal and Plastic components to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation to support design and manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models for sheetmetal and plastic parts using CAD software. - Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, GD&T, and customer specifications. - Work closely with design and engineering teams to translate concepts into accurate technical drawings. - Maintain and update drawing libraries, BOMs, and revision records. - Collaborate with the manufacturing team to resolve design-related issues. - Support prototype development and provide technical inputs during product validation.-Required Skills & Qualifications- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or related discipline. - Minimum 3 years of experience in drafting sheetmetal and plastic parts. - Proficiency in similar CAD tools - Good understanding of GD&T, engineering standards, and material specifications. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheetmetal and plastics. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Nice to Have- Exposure to product design for automotive, consumer goods, or industrial equipment. - Familiarity with PLM/PDM tools.Interested candidates can send updated resume to karthik.s@marutee.com
