Job Title: Liferay Tech Lead Location:Hyderabad Preferred ( Open to Remote also) Experience:8+ years (with 3+ years in Liferay 7.x, specifically 7.4) Employment Type:Contract - 6monthsJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-onLiferay Tech Leadwith deep expertise inLiferay 7.4 , particularly inon-premises migrations and custom development . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing optimal solutions, leading development efforts, and providing technical guidance to the team. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to define and communicate solution approaches effectively.Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions onLiferay 7.4 . Drive and manageon-premise migration projectsfrom earlier Liferay versions or other platforms. Architect and implement custom modules, hooks, themes, and integrations. Performcode reviews , enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Providetechnical leadershipin resolving complex issues and debugging production problems. Define and documentsolution approaches , architecture diagrams, and technical specifications. Ensure performance optimization, security compliance, and adherence to SLAs. Stay updated with Liferay product updates and industry trends.Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience withLiferay 7.4 , includingon-premise setup, migration, and customization . Strong understanding ofLiferay architecture , OSGi framework, and modular development. Hands-on experience withJava, JSP, Spring, REST APIs , and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS). Expertise indesigning optimal solutionstailored to Liferay’s capabilities and limitations. Excellentdebugging and troubleshooting skillsacross the full stack. Experience withCI/CD pipelines , version control (Git), and build tools (Maven/Gradle). Familiarity withdatabase design , performance tuning, and caching strategies. Strong communication and leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications: Liferay certification(s) is a plus. Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
