Here's your chance to inspire the next generation of creative thinkersWe’re seeking a dynamic individual to lead and innovate in the field of Communication Design, combining a love for teaching with hands-on industry expertise.This role is ideal for a passionate educator and industry professional eager to shape the future of Communication Design by fostering innovation, creativity, and practical skill development among students.Education Background:- Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Communication Design, UX Design, UI Design, Immersive Tech, New Media Digital Design, or HCI.- A PhD in a related field will be an added advantage.- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a senior academic or business role.- Exposure to best-in-class business practices, strong financial acumen, and knowledge of corporate governance.- Industry experience is highly desirable.Key Result Areas:Curricular Development- Lead the ongoing development of the Interaction Design program for UG and PG levels with innovative and future-ready content.Teaching Responsibilities- Teach Interaction Design courses with a focus on prototyping tools, IoT, and coding basics.- Guide students in designing screen-based interactions for various devices and platforms.- Deliver content in IoT, including sensors and associated coding techniques.Student Guidance- Mentor students in research methodologies and user testing for developing user-centric processes and outcomes.- Grade, review, and provide constructive critique for student projects, offering both creative and technical guidance.Industry Interaction- Liaise with industry leaders to facilitate UX/UI projects, internships, and guest lectures.- Develop student understanding of corporate roles and industry practices.Professional & Scholarly Engagement- Participate in scholarly activities, including publications or the creation of a professional portfolio.- Establish and nurture connections between academia and the industry to enhance program delivery.- Supervise student projects and contribute to program assessment, development, and marketing initiatives.Teaching Environment- Conduct lectures and hands-on lab sessions aligned with a full-time teaching role.- Actively participate in departmental working groups, student advising, and mentoringKey CompetenciesUX/UI Design Expertise- In-depth knowledge of UX and UI design processes for digital products.- Practical expertise with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Affinity).Technical Skills- Basic proficiency in coding languages.- Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.- Knowledge of Unity for immersive experiences and IoT fundamentals, including Arduino.Additional Skills- Strong communication and mentoring abilities.- Ability to bridge academia and industry effectively.Please share your most recent resume with us at nikita.saxena@gusindia.global
