Job Title: Business Analyst – Fintech/Legal Tech
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka (Office is in HSR Layout)
About Us:
We are a fast-growing Fintech/Legal Tech company providing lenders with AI-driven legal opinions on property ownership for home loans and loans against property. Our technology-enabled platform streamlines the verification of property titles, helping lenders reduce risk and improve decision-making efficiency. We are currently scaling our operations and expanding our customer base.
Role Overview:
The Business Analyst will serve as a crucial interface between functional users within the company, the internal technology team responsible for development, and the client's technology team. This role requires an individual who can translate business and user requirements into detailed technical specifications, support product development, and ensure seamless communication between all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, product, and operations teams, to gather system requirements.
- Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to understand their needs and document system functionalities.
- Business Requirement Documentation:
- Convert business needs into clear and comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) for the technology team.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
- Liaison Between Teams:
- Act as a bridge between the functional users (legal, operations) and the development team, ensuring that the technical team understands business requirements.
- Coordinate with the client's technology team to align on integration needs and timelines.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to streamline workflow.
- Assist in developing and optimizing business process flows in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed documentation for products developed, including user manuals, process flows, and technical guides.
- Prepare and maintain project reports and dashboards to track the progress of development and implementation phases.
- Pre-Sales and Demonstrations:
- Support the sales team in pre-sales activities by preparing Proof of Concept (POC) presentations and providing technical and functional demonstrations to potential clients.
- Engage with prospective customers to showcase product features and functionalities.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Assist in the validation and testing of the product to ensure that it meets the documented requirements and expectations.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback to the development team.
- Customer Support:
- Support client onboarding by ensuring the product is successfully implemented and aligns with client-specific requirements.
- Address any technical or functional queries from clients during post-sales and implementation phases.
- Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Fintech or related industry ( at least 2 years preferred).
- Experience in gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working with software development teams.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, etc.) and experience in POC/pre-sales activities.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of AI/ML tools and technology in the financial services sector.
Prior experience in client-facing roles in a Financial Services environment.
