Job Title: Network Security Engineer – L1Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, IndiaShift Time: UK ShiftJob Description- We are seeking a motivated Network Security Engineer – Level 1 with 3–6 years of broadband support experience to join our team. - This role is ideal for candidates who have provided technical support to international customers (UK-based) and are eager to build a career in network security. - Will handle first-line troubleshooting, security monitoring, and broadband-related support while working with industry-standard tools and processes.Responsibilities:- Provide first-line broadband and network support to UK-based residential and business customers. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DSL, DHCP, DNS, and One Access routers. - Perform first-level incident analysis and escalate to L2/L3 engineers when required. - Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances. - Respond to broadband-related service requests, network outages, and security alerts. - Conduct basic network diagnostics and remote troubleshooting for customer premises equipment (CPE). - Maintain detailed documentation of all support activities, configurations, and incidents. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated cases and ensure customer satisfaction. - Stay updated on broadband technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and emerging threats.Education & Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Networking, or equivalent work experience. - 3 - 6 years of broadband support experience (preferably UK-based customer support). - Prior experience handling international customers in a telecom or broadband environment.Skills & Competencies:- Strong knowledge of DSL, DHCP, DNS, One Access routers, and broadband technologies. - Understanding of TCP/IP, network routing, VPNs, and firewall concepts. - Familiarity with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, Splunk, Nessus, or similar. - Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills for handling UK customers. - Ability to work in rotational shifts and on-call schedules as required.
