Job Description: Data Analyst (Offshore – India)Domain: Commercial Pharma**Position: Data AnalystLocation: Chennai/Ahmedabad/PuneExperience: 5-7 yearsDomain: Commercial Pharma / Sales & Marketing AnalyticsSkills: SQL, Data Analysis, Pharma Commercial Data (IQVIA/Symphony), Reporting/BI, Data Quality, Excel, DocumentationRole SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Data Analyst with commercial pharma domain experience to support data analysis, validation, reporting, and analytics initiatives for global commercial teams. The ideal candidate must be strong in SQL, data interpretation, pharma data sets, and business KPIs used by Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services teams.Key Responsibilities:1. Pharma Commercial Data Analysis Work with syndicated and custom datasets such as: IQVIA (Xponent, NPA, DDD, NSP, XPO) Symphony/APH Formulary, Claims, Payer data HCP/HCO Master Data (Veeva OpenData, MedPro) Sales, Targeting, SFE, Veeva CRM activity data Analyze market performance metrics (e.g., TRx, NRx, Market Share, Access Coverage). Support data enrichment and harmonization across multiple data sources.2. SQL-Based Data Validation & Profiling Perform detailed data validation, profiling, and reconciliation using SQL. Investigate data quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and document findings. Validate inbound/outbound datasets, transformations, and business rule logic.3. Reporting, Dashboards & KPI SupportSupport development and validation of dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik). Ensure metric accuracy and alignment with business definitions. Prepare weekly/monthly reports for Sales, Marketing, and SFE teams.4. Requirements Gathering & DocumentationWork with business stakeholders to understand analytical/reporting needs. Document business rules, metric definitions, data dictionaries, and mapping documents. Create data lineage documentation and support audit/compliance requirements.5. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with data engineering, MDM, analytics, and commercial operations teams in an offshore/onshore model. Support ad hoc analysis requests from commercial teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide status updates.Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsStrong SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis. Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Modeling). Experience with commercial pharma data sets (IQVIA/Symphony/Veeva). Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik). Understanding of data models and ETL/ELT workflows (basic level).Domain SkillsStrong understanding of pharma commercial concepts such as: Sales performance (TRx, NRx, Market Share, PTS) CRM/call activity metrics Targeting and segmentation Market Access & Formulary coverage Patient and claims data flows
