This Position reports to: Team Lead - Accounts Payable​ Job Title: Vendor Reconciliation Specialist / Analyst Department:Finance & Accounts (Accounts Payable) Project:Vendor Reconciliation Initiative Location:ABB Bangalore / Hybrid Reporting to:P2P Team Leader Job Summary The Vendor Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for managing and executing end-to-end vendor account reconciliation activities as part of the Vendor Reconciliation Project. The role involves comparing company payables records with vendor statements to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues related to payments, credits, and outstanding balances. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain accurate vendor accounts and support financial integrity. Key Responsibilities Performvendor account reconciliationsby comparing vendor statements with company records (AP subledger and GR/IR accounts). Identify, investigate, and resolvediscrepanciesrelated to invoices, credit notes, debit memos, and payments. Coordinate withprocurement, AP, and vendor management teamsto clarify mismatches and ensure timely resolution. Maintain anaccurate vendor aging reportand ensure balances are cleared within agreed timelines. Support themonth-end and year-end closingprocesses by ensuring all vendor accounts are reconciled and updated. Preparereconciliation reportsand share periodic updates with management and stakeholders. Assist inprocess documentation , standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives for vendor reconciliation activities. Work with auditors (internal/external) to provide reconciliation evidence and respond to audit queries. Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Track and monitorKPIssuch as number of reconciliations completed, open items, and turnaround times. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inCommerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field . 2–5 yearsof experience inAccounts Payable, Vendor Reconciliation, or Finance Operations(for Analyst role). Strong understanding ofaccounting principles ,AP processes , andvendor management . Proficiency inERP systems(SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow Finance module, or similar) andMS Excel(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation). Excellentanalytical skillsand attention to detail. Strongcommunication and coordination skillsto work effectively with vendors and internal teams. Ability to managehigh-volume dataand meet deadlines. Experience withprocess automationorRPA tools(optional but desirable).Preferred Qualifications Experience inVendor Reconciliation Projects or Shared Servicesenvironment. Knowledge ofInvoice/Tax/GRIR/AP Aging/P2P disputehandling for international suppliers. Exposure toServiceNow ,Power BI , or other reporting tools.Key Deliverables 100% reconciliation of vendor accounts as per project timelines. Reduction in vendor outstanding balance discrepancies. Reduction of open line items in GRIR & AP Aging Improved vendor relationship through timely query resolution.
