Description:Role Overview:The Deputy Manager - Accounts & Finance will support financial reporting, SAP FICO process improvements, automation initiatives, audits, and compliance requirements. The role combines technical accounting, system enhancement, and digital transformation within SAP ECC and related finance systems.Key Responsibilities (KRA):- Analyze existing SAP ECC-based accounting processes and identify improvement opportunities for automation and system optimization.- Collaborate with internal IT teams and SAP consultants to design, validate, and deploy automation and system enhancements.- Develop, test, and implement custom SAP reports for better financial control, accuracy, and monitoring.- Drive adoption of digital finance tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or RPA to enhance process efficiency.- Perform monthly GL scrutiny and ensure accurate classification and posting of financial transactions.- Assist in financial statement preparation, accounts finalization, reconciliations, and ensure correctness of the trial balance.- Identify abnormal balances, discrepancies, and inconsistencies for corrective action and process strengthening.- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with financial reporting timelines.- Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditors, and maintain proper documentation and audit trails in SAP.- Support Ind AS-related activities including data collation, computation of adjustments, disclosures, and reconciliations.- Ensure robust internal controls and adherence to accounting standards, corporate policies, and compliance frameworks.- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across accounting, reporting, and automation functions.Required Skillsets:- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP FI/CO, key transaction codes, reporting capabilities, and system navigation.- Solid understanding of GL accounting, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end closing processes.- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Query, and working knowledge of Power BI dashboards and reporting.- Exposure to automation tools or RPA platforms and an interest in digital finance transformation.- Good understanding of Ind AS, financial reporting principles, and audit/compliance requirements.- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify system/process gaps and recommend improvements.- Effective communication, documentation, and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.- Ability to work in manufacturing or process-driven environments, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
