Description:Job Title: Head - Product DesignLocation: SEEPZ, Andheri East, MumbaiPosition Summary:- We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Product Design Head to lead our end-to-end jewelry design and development function.- This role blends creative excellence with business strategy, overseeing a multidisciplinary design team and translating market insights into high-impact collections.- The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in jewelry design along with proven leadership in driving innovation, operational excellence, and commercial success.Key Leadership:- Creative Direction & Design Governance: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of manual designers, CAD professionals, and merchandisers to deliver trend-forward, high-performing jewelry collections.- End-to-End Product Development: Own the entire design lifecyclefrom concept ideation to final sampleensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.- Trend Intelligence & Innovation: Track global fashion and design trends, experimenting with new materials, techniques, and aesthetics to ensure our collections remain ahead of the curve.- Design Process Excellence: Establish robust planning, workflow management, and quality control systems that drive timely delivery and optimize hit rates.- Client-Centric Collaboration: Partner with key accounts to co-create designs, integrate feedback, and customize solutions to suit their unique positioning and customer base.Business Leadership:- Strategic Partnership with Merchandising & Sales: Translate market data, sales analytics, and customer behavior insights into commercially viable design strategies.- Brand Alignment: Champion the brand aesthetic and ensure all designs embody Kama Jewelrys design language, craftsmanship, and value proposition.- Revenue-Driven Design Planning: Align collection calendars with sales cycles, trade events, and launch plans to maximize revenue opportunities and market responsiveness.- Leadership & Capability Building: Build a future-ready design organization by developing talent, succession plans, and cross-functional collaboration.- Trade Show Impact: Lead concept-to-execution design presence at domestic and international trade shows, showcasing innovation and storytelling aligned with business Bachelors or Masters degree in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, or a related creative field- 10+ years of progressive experience in jewelry or luxury product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role- Strong understanding of precious metals, gemstones, manufacturing techniques, and CAD platforms- Demonstrated ability to bridge creativity with commercial outcomes- Collaborative, influential leader with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skillsWhat You Bring:- A balance of aesthetic sensibility and business acumen- A builders mindset with the ability to scale design functions and build future-ready capabilities- A proactive, solution-driven approach to integrating client needs with design innovation- Passion for storytelling through design and elevating customer experiencesDiversity, Equity & Inclusion at Kama Jewelry:At Kama Jewelry, we celebrate diversity and are committed to building an inclusive culture where everyone is respected and valued.
