To provide expert-level cybersecurity guidance and support within the end customer environment, specialising in regulatory compliance and Microsoft security solutions. The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the organisation's adherence to regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001, by effectively implementing and managing Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Purview solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Audit and identify non-conformances in AI-driven interpreted regulations.
  • Validate technical controls against regulatory requirements, using both AI-generated interpretations and manual analysis.
  • Break down high-level technical controls into actionable steps and map them to Microsoft products and third-party cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Differentiate between technical, process-based, and documentation-related controls.
  • Continuously monitor regulatory changes and assess the AI system's ability to generate accurate control interpretations.
  • Learn from previous audits to improve regulatory interpretation and control actions.

Microsoft Security Solutions:

  • Utilise Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Purview to enhance control implementation.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity tools and techniques.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to report and address errors in control mapping.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 15-20 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on GRC and Audit exposure.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Purview solutions.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, including GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Proven track record of conducting audits and managing projects related to these frameworks.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and map them to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams across the organisation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.


Additional Considerations:

  • The role will require occasional work outside of regular business hours to respond to security incidents.
