Software Development Engineer II

Key Responsibilities :

- Kubernetes Development : Design, develop, and maintain advanced Kubernetes-native components. This includes building operators/controllers or Daemon Sets, leveraging a deep understanding of the Kubernetes API server, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and admission webhooks.

- Scalability & Performance : Apply in-depth expertise in Kubernetes scheduling mechanisms and precise resource usage accounting to ensure optimal performance and efficient resource utilization for our applications.

- Cloud-Native Engineering : Write robust, well-tested cloud-native code, primarily in Go or Python, with hands-on experience using client-go or similar Kubernetes client libraries.

- Monitoring & Observability : Implement and manage monitoring solutions using Prometheus or similar stacks, including developing custom exporters and defining effective alerting rules for critical systems.

- Data Pipelines : Design and build efficient data pipelines specifically for high-volume telemetry data, ensuring reliable collection, processing, and analysis.

- Documentation & Communication : Serve as a clear communicator, adept at documenting complex systems, architectural decisions, and technical processes to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

- Collaboration : Work closely with other engineering teams, DevOps, and product managers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable :

- 4+ years of experience in engineering Cloud / Dev Tool products.

- Strong Kubernetes proficiency with 1+ year of experience in building operators/controllers or Daemon Sets.

- Deep knowledge of the Kubernetes API server, CRDs, and admission webhooks.

- In-depth expertise in Kubernetes scheduling mechanisms and precise resource usage accounting.

- Strong programming skills in Go or Python, with specific experience in client-go or similar libraries.

- Familiarity with writing robust, well-tested cloud-native code.

- Hands-on experience with Prometheus or similar monitoring stacks, including exporter development and alerting rules.

- Experience designing efficient data pipelines for high-volume telemetry.

- Clear communicator who can document complex systems effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
