Job Description:

- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mutual Fund Distribution & AIF Fund Building Specialist to play a key role in expanding our firm's investment offerings and growing our client base.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing and creating and structuring Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) to meet the investment needs of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, and institutional clients.

- This role will involve working closely with asset management firms, distributors, legal teams, and senior leadership to deliver comprehensive, strategic investment solutions that align with the companys financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

AIF Fund Building & Management:

- AIF Strategy Development: Design and build AIF strategies targeting specific investor needs, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and infrastructure funds.

- Fund Structuring: Work with legal and compliance teams to structure AIFs in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring the funds terms, risk profile, and liquidity are aligned with investor expectations.

- Investor Relations: Develop relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, institutional investors, and fund managers to secure capital for AIFs.

- Fund Launch and Marketing: Lead the process of launching new AIFs, including conducting roadshows, presenting to potential investors, and coordinating with marketing teams for promotional activities.

- Performance Reporting: Prepare periodic performance reports for investors, providing detailed insights into the fund's performance, risk exposures, and market trends.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all AIF fund activities comply with SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) and other regulatory authorities guidelines.

- Risk Management: Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure that AIFs are managed in accordance with risk management protocols.

- Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all documentation related to fund offerings, compliance, and regulatory filings are meticulously maintained.

Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams ( legal, compliance, portfolio management, marketing) to ensure smooth fund development, distribution, and execution.

- Client Presentation: Prepare and present detailed reports and investment strategies to prospective investors, stakeholders, and management.

- Market Insights: Stay updated on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to provide strategic insights for the business.

Business Development & Networking:

- Relationship Building: Establish long-term relationships with distributors, institutional clients, and strategic partners to expand AIF distribution.

- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and build partnerships with key players in the financial industry, such as banks, wealth managers, and investment firms, to enhance product distribution.

- Investor Education: Provide guidance and education AIFs, and alternative investments to both clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

- A Masters degree or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is a plus.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mutual fund distribution, wealth management, or private equity/alternative investment fund building.

- In-depth knowledge of mutual funds, AIFs, and financial products.

- Strong understanding of investment strategies, fund structures, and regulatory compliance (SEBI regulations for AIFs and mutual funds).

- Proven track record in building and managing client relationships, distributing financial products, and driving investment sales.

Skills:

- Client Relationship Management: Strong ability to cultivate long-term relationships with investors and distributors.

- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the mutual fund and AIF industries, with the ability to anticipate market trends.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex investment strategies clearly and effectively.

- Sales & Negotiation: Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.

- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from fund creation to distribution, ensuring timely delivery.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate market trends and fund performance
