About the role  

Undertake electrical engineering design work to assist in the provision and management of the State’s water related schemes and water resources.                     

What the role will involve: 

  • Undertake detailed engineering planning, design and investigation work, including:
  • Prepare conceptual, engineering and detailed plans and designs.
  • Carry out studies, investigations, engineering modelling and financial analyses.
  • Review and check reports, plans and designs prepared by others.
  • Provide information and advice for preparation of drawings.
  • Prepare specifications and tender documents, analyse tenders, and make recommendations for acceptance.
  • Witness testing and provide engineering guidance for commissioning processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Relatable industry professional engineering experience, including:
  • Relevant experience in engineering planning, definition and/or design of infrastructure assets and/or field practice in the functional area to which this position is attached.
  • Relevant experience in the investigation and analysis of project proposals and in reviewing engineering work of others
