About the Role:

cKinetics is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Associate passionate about Sustainable Investment Research and ESG practices. The role will be part of the Sustainability Finance practice, with a specific focus on driving ESG-related investment insights, climate finance, and corporate ESG disclosures. This position will offer opportunities to engage in research and strategic advisory for clients on sustainable investing trends, portfolio assessments, and the financial impacts of ESG risks and opportunities.

The work includes managing projects end-to-end, conducting market analysis, designing client solutions, and delivering high-quality presentations that align with client sustainability goals.

Purpose of the Position:

As a Senior Associate, you will lead the delivery of high-quality project outcomes by:

- Managing project deliverables, coordinating with team members, and ensuring research aligns with client objectives.

- Leveraging your expertise to provide ESG and sustainability investment insights.

- Utilizing your skills in data analysis and financial modeling to drive sustainable finance solutions and help shape client investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

- Plan and execute projects in Sustainable Investment Research, focusing on ESG disclosures, climate finance, sustainability, and responsible investing.

- Identify research requirements, gather reliable data sources, and integrate ESG metrics into financial analyses.

- Collaborate with project teams (Associates/Analysts) to create cohesive solutions tailored to client needs.

- Conduct field visits for project-specific research as needed.

2. Client Engagement:

- Develop and present impactful presentations and reports based on data insights, trends, financial flows, and ESG investment risks.

- Ensure timely, cost-effective project completion that meets client expectations and enhances client satisfaction.

3. Team and Time Management:

- Oversee project progress, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines, while providing guidance to Associates and Analysts.

- Utilize internal project management and time-tracking tools to ensure accurate documentation and resource allocation.

4. Business Development Support:

- Support business development efforts by creating proposals, white papers, and intelligence briefs to showcase cKinetics' capabilities in ESG investment and sustainability finance.

Candidate Requirements:

Skills and Mindset:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative and flexible mindset.

- Passionate about sustainability, particularly in ESG investments, climate finance, and carbon markets.

- Proven experience in data analytics and financial modeling, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

- Excellent presentation skills, capable of communicating research findings to high-level audiences.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Management, or related field; CFA Level III is a plus.

- 4-6 years of experience in consulting, investment research, or finance, focusing on ESG, sustainable investing, or carbon markets.

- Knowledge of sustainability standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, and SBTi.
