Role Summary:
This position acts as the primary liaison to Global Supply Chain leaders and uses in-depth knowledge of IT applications and tools to facilitate the optimization of business unit performance by enhancing the alignment between business process and information technology. A critical contact of the business for any inquiries, incl. systems support, improvements analysis and advises.
The IT Product Owner is responsible for solution identification and design, translating business requirements and objectives into technology roadmaps and solution delivery for assigned area. Primary focus is to shape global business processes to align with leading practice capabilities, whenever a competitive advantage is not required. The position serves to help the business navigate IT processes ensuring proper procedures are adhered to while delivering business value utilizing best practices. The incumbent has functional and technical expertise Logistics and Warehouse management and more than one other business subprocesses.
Responsibilities:
- Business Relationship Management – Primary liaison to business workstream leaders to define solution, address business objectives, enable successful project and application delivery. Influence business LTP with technology acumen.
- For projects, formulate systems scope, estimates, and objectives relative to business needs and project requirements, considering application of industry best practices and new technologies.
- Works with respective Product Line Strategy Owner to develop IT LTP in area of expertise. Working closely with business leads, internal and external customers, vendors and peer companies, research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to support McCormick’s strategic initiatives.
- May serve as project functional leader, team member or IT Project Manager on multiple applications, technology projects and strategic planning initiatives.
- Participates in project design reviews for large (Tier 1 and 2) projects.
- Seeking constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes, streamline and optimize business and/or IT processes whilst maximizing effectiveness.
Desired Candidate Skills/ Qualifications:
- 12 years in-depth experience with 5 years expertise in more than one functional area. Minimum of 3 full life-cycle implementations, preferably including 1 with global deployment.
- Solution design experience in LE-WM, EWM and across multiple sub-processes or SAP modules (e.g., Order to cash, procure to pay, record to report or SAP modules such as SD, MM, HR, APO, FI, PP, GTS, etc.), technical area (e.g., EDI, Workflow, BW, Portal), and non-SAP systems.
- Experience of non SAP distribution applications such as warehouse automation, voice picking, RF picking, digital documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in problem solving process for projects and support.
