Senior GCP Data Engineer Overview :We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery (BQ), and ETL pipeline development. The role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performing data pipelines, enabling seamless data flow from ingestion to delivery.This is an individual contributor role, suited for engineers who thrive in solving complex data challenges and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions.Key Responsibilities : - Work closely with business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.- Perform in-depth data analysis to validate, cleanse, and optimize datasets.- Design, implement, and maintain secure data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers.- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using GCP native tools and frameworks.- Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance standards across pipelines.- Optimize BigQuery performance, query design, and cost efficiency.- Troubleshoot pipeline issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.- Document solutions, data flows, and best practices for ongoing Skills & Qualifications : - 8 - 12 years of total data engineering experience.- Strong hands-on expertise in :1. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data engineering.2. BigQuery (BQ) for data modeling, performance tuning, and analytics.3.
