The firm operates through two primary divisions: Intellectual Property & Technology and General Practice, leveraging its team's unique expertise to deliver maximum value to clients.Key Responsibilities:- Work as an integral part of the IP litigation team, handling complex and high-stakes IP disputes before various courts and tribunals, with a primary focus on the Bombay High Court.- Draft and review pleadings, written statements, rejoinders, legal notices, and other litigation documents pertaining to trademark, copyright, and related IP disputes.- Conduct in-depth legal research on relevant case laws, statutes, and emerging issues in IP litigation.- Appear before courts, tribunals, and other forums, and assist in the conduct of hearings and trials.- Brief and coordinate with senior counsels, prepare case strategies, and ensure effective case management.- Manage client communications, provide strategic legal advice, and maintain high standards of client servicing.- Supervise and mentor junior associates, ensuring quality work output and adherence to timelines.- Liaise and collaborate with colleagues across branch offices for multi-jurisdictional matters.- Travel across India for hearings, client meetings, and case management, as required.- Stay abreast of recent legal developments, judgments, and legislative changes in IP law.Candidate Profile / Requirements:- Education: LLB from a reputed law school with strong academic credentials.- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of post-qualification experience in IP litigation, preferably with a leading law firm in Mumbai.- Proven experience handling trademark infringement, passing off, and copyright infringement matters before the Bombay High Court and other courts.- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills.- Strong ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (spoken and written).- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor juniors, and collaborate effectively with peers and partners.- Must be enrolled with the Bar Council of India and eligible to practice law in India.- High level of professionalism, integrity, and client service orientation.
