what are we building?

you’ve heard the phrase “attention is the new currency” multiple times now.

It’s true. 

getting people’s attention is harder than ever.

we are trying to solve that. we are trying to get eyeballs of people (btw, we are not ad company)

we have churned out 160 videos in the last 2 weeks and now we’re ready to go bigger (we have team of 10 vid editors)

we are building the content machine with help from some seriously impressive ex-founders in SF. (trust us, you’ll be excited to meet them.)

you will be a force multiplier (not chatpgt suggested word, promise) for our two-person scripting team. 

your goal is to churn out scripts that stop people mid-scroll.

first thing first, what the role is NOT

• this is not a “strategy” role. you’ll be rolling up your sleeves and jumping right into execution.

• we’re not looking for scripts that start with “hey everyone, welcome to my channel.” you need a basic understanding of how script writing in short-form works.hook, storytelling, tension, ending, music choice, etc…

• this role is primarily focused on short-form content. you might get to try long-form, but just a heads-up - we haven’t started long-form content yet. for the next 3 months, short-form will be your main focus.

what this role is really about

• You find it fascinating to put a point in under 45 seconds video and constantly explore different ways to do it effectively. you understand hooks, pacing, and keeping things engaging.

• you love to explore internet rabbit holes - think iconic movie scenes or overlooked podcast moments - that we can remix.

• you’re fearless when it comes to experimentation (and we’re talking bold, crazy ideas)

• you understand the gen-z vibe; if you’re gen-z, even better lol.

whoa, that’s a lot

we get that it sounds intense, but we’ll take it in phases. here’s how things will unfold:

week 1-2: 

• get to know us. meet the editors and understand our process. 
• start going into rabbit hole to dig that content gold - all those clips, articles, videos that are just waiting to be repurposed.

week 3-5: 

• pitch and execute one wild idea we haven’t tried yet (it should be really wild)
• start writing original scripts 

6th week onwards it’ll be a mix of everything: original scripts, fresh ideas, and finding clips to repurpose.
