Job Description – On-prem Data Architect (10+ Years of Experience)

Employment Type: Contract (4 Months)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced On-prem Data Architect with 10+ years of expertise in designing and implementing enterprise data solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that align with organizational objectives. This role requires deep technical knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive data governance and compliance across projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and define the overall data and solution architecture for large-scale enterprise projects.

· Build scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures aligned with business and technology goals.

· Lead evaluation, selection, and integration of data platforms, tools, and technologies.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into architecture blueprints.

· Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.

· Drive best practices for data management, storage, and integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in data architecture roles with a strong focus on on-premise environments.

· Expertise in MS SQL and Postgres databases with advanced SQL programming skills.

· Exposure to NoSQL databases and modern data platforms.

· Understanding of voice/BPO solutions and software such as Avaya, Genesys (preferred).

· Strong knowledge of data security, compliance, and governance best practices.

· Proven ability to design enterprise-scale architectures and deliver complex projects.

· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
