Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, AWS Glue, and SQL technologies.
  • Architect and optimize data models for efficient storage and retrieval using Redshift and Athena.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the data engineering team, providing technical leadership and support.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices for data governance and validation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, AWS Glue, Redshift, and Athena.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role is preferred.
