Cognite - Performance Engineer - Software Quality Assurance

Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and execute performance and load tests to validate system scalability, stability, and reliability.
- Identify, analyze, and report performance bottlenecks, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain testing frameworks, scripts, and tools to support performance testing efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system architecture and guide performance testing strategies.
- Monitor system performance in production and support root cause analysis for performance-related issues.
- Provide guidance on performance optimization and share best practices through documentation, training, and :
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering, ideally within SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or similar.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or related languages, with experience in databases like PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with analyzing performance metrics using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar.
Preferred :
- Experience in Agile methodologies and working with global, distributed teams.
- Expertise in testing large-scale systems and handling high volumes of data.
- Knowledge of React and JSON for test data preparation and API performance testing.
