Job Summary :We are looking for a skilled and proactive Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team.You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software releases.This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of testing methodologies, scripting, and automation tools who is passionate about delivering stable and scalable test Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, or desktop applications.- Create robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, Postman, or RestAssured.- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).- Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand testing needs and convert manual test cases into automation.- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and API testing.- Analyze test results and report defects, bugs, and performance issues to development teams.- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defect logs.- Generate and share test coverage and execution reports with stakeholders.- Ensure traceability between test cases and business/technical requirements.- Work closely with developers, QA analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure test environments are properly configured.- Promote test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices when appropriate.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation strategies, tools, and Skills & Experience :- 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation or software testing roles.- Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.- Experience with test automation tools : Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and testing techniques (ref:hirist.tech)
