Job Title: Senior Telecom Systems Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecom Systems Engineer Architect to join our dynamic team in the telecom domain. As a Senior Systems Engineer and Architect, you will be responsible for designing, and architecting transformational modernization of end-to-end network solutions for all major carriers including tier 1 and tier 2 global carriers with focus on the APAC and AUZ markets. Our core tenets of this modernization revolve around leveraging Generative AI to create workflow automation and intelligence in the network to realized true Agile Network and Network as a Service solutions for our clients. Your expertise in telecom operations and systems will play a crucial role in developing this architecture, solution, use cases and customer specific roadmaps.
The position will focus on developing and designing Telco to Techo offerings that range from network design, integration, operations, deployment and support. The Techo transition is highly dependent on AI and GenAI as an enabler to automated workflows, decision making without human intervention and creation of new value to Telco/Techo clients with new use cases for Enterprise and Consumer markets.Additionally, the role will support RFX engagements with key clients orchestrating the responses to Network, OSS, Wireline and Wireless opportunities. The Systems Engineer will be creating thought leadership across the Telco market in driving for new technology led efficiencies and creating new monetization opportunities for Carriers and ISVs/NEPs in this ecosystem.
Additionally, as the Telco and IT Enterprise worlds continue to align and integrate, the position will need to create thought leadership on how to integrate new Techo specific applications into the open Network as a Service based architectures being deployed by Telcos and Techos. This includes ensuring network and application performance as well as creating new ways for carriers to bill for these new services and use cases.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and understand business requirements, translating them into software systems transformation.
Design and develop end-to-end systems architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Integrating Gen AI into all aspects of software design, architecture, development methodologies, processes and modernized operational flows.
Evaluate and select appropriate AI, ML, and GenAI tools, technologies, and platforms to support operations software solutions.
Lead the implementation and integration of these operations systems for our clients, ensuring intelligent automation leveraging deep learning and Gen AI technologies for for network management, service management, business operations, and customer care.
Drive client meetings to enable programs to support design and performance analyses to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI Ops in conjunction with operations systems architecture.
Deep understanding of operations systems architecture including TMF, 3GPP, IETF, ITU standards.
Deep understanding of current CSP design, deployment and operations processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to define and implement system design strategies aligned with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all operations systems solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations systems architecture, design, and implementation within the telecom industry.
Strong knowledge of telecom network design, deployment, integration, operations, processes, and systems, including network management, service fulfillment, service assurance, billing, and customer relationship management.
Detailed knowledge and experience in Gen AI based product development, integration and automation.
Proven experience in designing and implementing operations systems solutions, including experience with relevant tools and technologies.
In-depth understanding of industry standards and protocols such as 3GPP 5G, NFV, CNF MANO based architectures, TM Forum's Frameworx (eTOM, SID, TAM), and operations systems architecture, with knowledge of how AI, ML, and GenAI can enhance these frameworks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to AI, ML, and GenAI applications.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
