API Automation Tester

We are seeking a skilled API Automation Tester to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our applications through both manual and automated API testing. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and a strong background in database and application testing.

You will be crucial in a fast-paced agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Execution: Perform comprehensive manual and automated testing of APIs and applications to ensure functionality and reliability.

- Database Testing: Conduct testing on various databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, BigQuery, and Mongo DB, to validate data integrity.

- Tooling: Utilize API testing tools such as SOATest, Postman, or SoapUI to create and execute test suites.

- Defect Management: Use test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail to document and track defects, working with development teams for resolution.

- Collaboration: Participate in an agile team, contributing to test planning, sprint reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education : A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills :

- API Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with SOATest, Postman, or SoapUI.

- Database: Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, BigQuery, and Mongo DB.

- Programming & Frameworks: Knowledge of C# programming and experience with the BDD SpecFlow framework is a plus.

- Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk.

- Methodologies: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and agile methods.

Experience : 4-6 years of hands-on experience in application, database, and API testing, covering both manual and automation.

Required Qualifications :

- Communication : Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Domain Knowledge : Knowledge of the Securities Capital Markets domain is preferred.
