These solutions utilize advanced VDL hardware to automatically collect onboard telemetry data, optimize operations, and automate equipment processes and decision-making for improved efficiency and productivity.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilledRadio Frequency (RF) Engineer/Technicianto manage, maintain, and optimize wireless communication systems at our mine site. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless communication for operational efficiency, safety, and data transmission in challenging underground and surface environments.Responsibilities· Design, install, and maintainRF communication systems , including Wi-Fi, leaky feeder systems, and two- way radios for underground and surface operations. · Conductsite surveysto assess RF coverage and identify potential interference. · Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize wireless networks to ensurereliable communicationfor mine operations. · Collaborate with mining, safety, and IT teams to implementcommunication solutionsin line with operational needs. · Maintain accuratedocumentationof RF networks, equipment inventory, and system configurations. · Ensurecompliance with safety regulationsand mining communication standards. · Providetraining and technical supportto mine staff for communication equipment usage. · Performperiodic testing and preventive maintenanceof all RF systemsQualifications· Diploma or Degree inElectronics, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering , or related fields. · Proven experience inRF network design, installation, and maintenance at least 5 + Years · Familiarity withmine communication systems(leaky feeder, underground Wi-Fi, two-way radio). · Knowledge ofRF troubleshooting tools(spectrum analyzers, signal strength meters).
