Position Overview: As a Staff SDET, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital media delivery by joining our IPTV Automation and Tools team. You'll design and implement scalable automation frameworks, develop sophisticated audio/video validation tools, and build intuitive dashboards to drive data-driven insights and optimize reporting workflows. Key Responsibilities: Develop Audio/Video Validation Tools:Build robust tools to ensure optimal audio and video streaming quality. Design Scalable Automation Infrastructure:
Architect and implement automation systems to streamline testing and deployment processes. Enhance Reporting and Analytics:
Create dashboards and utilities that support data analysis and operational visibility. Collaborate and Mentor:
Review code, mentor peers, and advocate for best practices in test automation and quality engineering. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software development, test automation, or tools engineering. Proven experience with digital media technologies such as IPTV, streaming platforms, set-top boxes, or mobile devices. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages. Hands-on expertise in: Audio/Video quality analysis tools. CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Argo, or Airflow. Automating high-ROI test cases to reduce manual effort. Debugging, root cause analysis, and issue isolation on consumer devices. Customizing open-source tools for video streaming automation. Demonstrated ability to produce clean, modular, and maintainable code. Passion for code reviews and continuous improvement through mentoring. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with UI automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver. Exposure to Appium or similar tools for mobile app automation. Familiarity with AV codecs, DRM technologies, and consumer electronics testing. Knowledge of pytest or similar test frameworks for end-to-end automation. Proficiency in integrating open-source tools into larger automation ecosystems. Background in web application development for internal tools. Experience using monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk or Grafana. Effective collaboration with cross-functional, globally distributed teams. Basic understanding of AI concepts or interest in AI tools and technologies.
