Job Description:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based cloud servers and virtual machines on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security
• Veritas L2 support for Build , Operation and patching activities

System Administration:

• Perform day-to-day administration tasks for Linux servers, including user management, system updates, and software installations.
• Automate routine tasks using scripts (e.g., Bash, Python).

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Provide Level 2 support for escalated issues related to Linux servers and cloud services.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux servers and cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations.

Performance Optimization:

• Optimize system performance and resource utilization for Linux servers and cloud resources.
• Perform capacity planning and scaling to meet growing business needs.

Backup & Recovery:

• Manage and verify backup and recovery processes for Linux servers.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Generate and review performance reports and logs.

Collaboration & Training:

• Work closely with other IT teams, such as network and application teams, to ensure seamless integration of services.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members.

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Linux system administration and cloud computing.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure services (e.g., EC2, S3, Azure VMs, Google Compute Engine).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Grafana).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred.
