Senior Manager Information Security

Position Overview
In this role, you will be a hands-on engineering leader to build an innovative security foundation architected for scale. You will partner with internal stakeholders and all parts of the business to drive security programs, implement state of art security technologies, build and manage security platforms that help secure the brand and protect products, infrastructure, and applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive security engineering initiatives to support threat management and security operations priorities
- Build innovative ways to deliver frictionless security capabilities to enhance the security posture of the organization
- Provide operational leadership for the security engineering team, focused on build/buy responsibilities in design, deployment and operation of security-oriented capabilities and technologies
- Collaborate with internal customers to develop requirements and prioritize work projects based on outcomes that drive risk reduction and operational effectiveness
- Enable the Information Security team to prevent, detect, contain and manage security risks, assist with security incidents, investigations and root-cause analysis
- Lead and build the Security Automation program to enable security teams to scale to handle growing workloads based on various business process automation requirements
- Build a logging and monitoring platform architected for scale
- Drive the security data analytics program involving ETL, data mining and data visualization
- Support peer and customer organizations in successful outcomes with respect to security requirements
- Participate in the security operation and engineering leadership team in setting OKRs, building strategic plans, supporting talent objectives and execution of the security roadmap
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience/training, Master’s Degree in Computer Science a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in security engineering or various security roles with experience across the technology stack
- Management and leadership experience commensurate with Senior Manager level responsibilities
- Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to build out a security logging and monitoring capability that is based on automation and orchestration at scale
- Deep understanding in security logging best practices and strong experience in technologies such as Splunk, Devo, ELK, Sumo Logic, syslog-ng, Kafka, Spark, etc.
- Strong experience in building and implementing security solutions such as SOAR, Email Security, XDR, Threat Detection Engineering, etc.
- Experience in designing, developing and supporting product and tool development for security applications
- Experience in managing incidents that required extensive monitoring, investigation
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell or Shell script
- Familiar with engineering and operational tools e.g. Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Vault, Docker, Kubernetes
- Familiar with security best practices in major cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- Thrive in fast-paced environment and can approach problems with an innovative, can-do attitude while leading a team
- Knowledge of network devices, firewalls, IDS/IPS, TCP/IP protocols, and general network architecture
- CISSP/CISM, SANS, CNSE (Palo Alto Networks), CCNP, CCIE, or other Networking and Security certifications a plus
