In 2023, Agilitas acquired Mochiko Group. Mochiko are a leading private Limited Indian Non-Government Company incorporated in 2008 and has a history of 15+ years of leading in footwear manufacturing. The vision of Mochiko is to be the number 1 shoe manufacturer of choice for global premium brands with a clear focus on customer service. Our mission to deliver superior value to customers, stakeholders, employees and society at large.

Mochiko is a leading specialist in manufacturing footwear, footwear components, and accessories. The Company has tied up with a plethora of industry leading multinational footwear brands including Adidas, Reebok, Decathlon, Skechers & and PUMA, catering to their domestic requirements in the India market.

Mochiko has the largest currently installed capacity of > 10 Million pairs annually, with sites in Gurugram, Noida, Dehradun, and Rishikesh.

With Agilitas and Mochiko now working in unity, we are now looking to hire for several exciting new positions within the Mochiko manufacturing division, working closely with the wider Agilitas business in bringing the most innovative products to market by 2025.

As VP of Commercialisation for Shoe Manufacturing, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercialisation process of new shoe products to ensure high-quality product is delivered to market on time.

This role involves collaborating with Development/Planning/Production/Industrial Engineering and Quality Assurance departments to ensure most efficient product engineering process and taking care of all product testing requirements be it fit/ wear/materials/ construction.

Reports to: COO Shoes – Mochiko Group

Location: Delhi (with regular travel to aforementioned manufacturing locations

Key Responsibilities:

Product Engineering

• Grading of sample size patterns
• Fit & Wear test pass.
• Designing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all operations in production.
• Working with Industrial Engineering to define SPM for each operation.
• Working with Planning for line balancing
• Working with Quality to ensure all material & construction test pass.
• Simplifying operations to make it more production friendly, efficient and reduce wastage.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to maintain high product standards.
• Work with quality assurance teams to address any product-related issues.

Market Analysis

• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats in the footwear industry.
• Analyse competitor products and pricing strategies to inform the company's commercialisation approach.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with design, marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of commercialisation strategies.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align product development with business objectives.

Budget Management

• Develop and manage budgets related to product commercialisation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure that products comply with relevant standards and requirements.

Product Launch

• Plan and execute product launch strategies, including marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and distribution plans.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvement in the commercialisation lifecycle.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Footwear technology / Fashion Technology / Business / Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree in business administration / technology / Operations Management is a plus.

Experience and required traits

• Proven experience of about 20 years in a leadership role within the shoe manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of product development, quality, production processes and market trends.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
